Welcome to the Berliner Klavierfestival 2015

The Berliner Klavierfestival has been established in Berlin since 2012, and the success of the previous years has convinced us of our concept: experiencing some of the world's leading pianists up close. We carefully choose the pianists for their uniqueness in creativity, their virtuosity and their rich diversity in interpretation and sound. Whether at the beginning of their career or at home on the world stage, it is only their artistic expression that counts.

Since the first festival in 2012 we have made our home in the Small Haal of the Berlin Konzerthaus, for us one of the best halls in Berlin for piano recitals. With its intimate atmosphere and fantastic acoustic, every member of the audience has the feeling that they are hearing the pianists as they want to be heard, something the pianists themselves also value. The ambience, atmosphere and acoustic work together to create an optimal setting for a piano recital.

This year the Berliner Klavierfestival will celebrate the Russian composer Alexander Scriabin -- 2015 marks the 100th anniversary of his death. We have put together some information about Scriabin and the programme. Along with this is a collection of works by Scriabin, interpreted by some of the great Scriabin interpreters of the past.
